Day 4: Walking the High Line, Whitney and a bit of Flat Iron

On a perfect spring morning we ventured across town to the west side to begin our journey walking the High Line. It is an historic elevated railway line once used to transport goods to the Meatpacking district of New York. Today, it has been transformed into a city park where you can walk above ground from West 34th Street to Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District.

We left the High Line to have lunch at Chelsea Markets and to visit the Artisans and Flea Market before visiting the Whitney Museum of Modern American Art.
